A: Holding out the words of life to our neighbourhood (Beck Copeland)

Do you feel overwhelmed when it comes to sharing Jesus with your immediate neighbours? Do you struggle with what to say and how best to communicate to them? In this seminar we'll look at helpful ways we can meet, serve and ultimately share the gospel with those who live over our back fence.

B: Lifting the fog (Kirrily Griffiths)

God says the Old Testament is about Jesus, but sometimes it can feel like a book written in a foreign language, with places we don't know and customs we don't practise. Using the book of Ruth as a launching pad we will spend time looking at the Old Testament, growing in our understanding of its historical context and themes and developing skills to help us read it better.

C: Presenting the truth simply (Ellee Jeffress)

Kids can know our great God and giving a kid's talk is often the way we teach them. Learn how to give a kid's talk that will engage kids and help them remember what they know about God.

D: How to love our friends and family living with depression (Laetitia Wills)

Depression is really common these days. What is depression, and what can we do to help and support our friends with depression? In this seminar we will look at these questions and use the Bible to guide us as we love and care for our friends and family with depression.

E: Parenting teenagers (Janine Ayling)

Mothers can survive the experience of having teenagers without losing their minds ... or their children. Hear how you can 'take a load off' yourself and your teens so that you can move with an almost calm expectation through the final stage of hands-on parenting.

F: Following Jesus, our model of submission (Sam Fairhall)

As Christians we are called to follow Jesus' example of humility and submission. This seminar will consider how we should submit to God and those he has put in authority over us in our daily lives and relationships (including our husbands, employers and church leaders) and to each other generally. Being 'submissive' is not looked on positively by the world but as we live lives of humble submission we bring glory to the name of Jesus

G: Making prayer a priority in the midst of an over-busy life (Ruth Myors)

The Bible stresses the importance of faithfulness in prayer. How do you find the time? Do you find that most of your prayers are desperate calls for help? Or have you found the secret of making prayer a special relationship-enriching time with God? In this seminar we will discuss the difficulties, ways of overcoming them and issues involved in a growing and enriching prayer life.

H: God's purposes in suffering: Coping with the death of a baby this side of heaven (Vanessa Murphy & Carolyn Burgess)

James 1:2-3 "Consider it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance". Christians are not immune from suffering, but can we find joy in hard times? Vanessa will reflect on God's love and comfort through her experience of the life and death of her baby Matthew. Together we will consider how we understand suffering and loss in the light of Jesus' death and resurrection.
